Lighthouse Canton, a Singapore-headquartered global investment institution overseeing more than US$6 billion (as of 31 March 2026), launched 'Global Indian' in late July 2026 — a dedicated wealth-management platform for non-resident Indians and overseas investors whose financial affairs span multiple jurisdictions. It integrates the firm's regulated entities in India and GIFT City with an international platform across Singapore, Dubai and the United Kingdom, powered by its proprietary Keenai wealth-technology platform (portfolio analytics, lifecycle management, consolidated multi-market reporting and a digital investment marketplace). Group CEO Shilpi Chowdhary called India's diaspora 'one of the most significant and consistently underserved wealth management opportunities'; the launch is framed as the first expression of a broader ambition to build a cross-border wealth institution for globally mobile communities.
Why it matters
Lighthouse Canton is the first firm to make 'the Global Indian' a whole business rather than a desk inside a bigger bank: a Singapore multi-family-office platform stitching India, GIFT City, the UAE and the UK into one reporting layer via its Keenai technology. At roughly US$6 billion in AUM it is a minnow beside the Swiss and Singapore incumbents, but its pure-play framing — fragmentation as the problem, cross-border consolidation as the product — is the sharpest articulation yet of the thesis every private bank is chasing.

The journey
Launches 'Global Indian', a dedicated pure-play NRI wealth platform
Lighthouse Canton launched Global Indian, a dedicated wealth-management platform serving non-resident Indians and overseas investors whose financial affairs span multiple jurisdictions. It integrates the firm's regulated entities in India and GIFT City with its international platform across Singapore, Dubai and the United Kingdom, supported by its proprietary Keenai technology. The launch cited an Indian diaspora of roughly 35 million (the world's largest), record FY2024-25 remittances to India of USD 135 billion, and NRI deposits exceeding USD 164 billion as of March 2025. Group CEO Shilpi Chowdhary: 'India's diaspora represents one of the most significant and consistently underserved wealth management opportunities'; MD & CEO–India Sumegh Bhatia noted 'NRI families frequently hold substantial wealth that is diminished in practice by fragmentation'.
