ICICI Prudential AMC, one of India's largest asset managers with about $130 billion in AUM, inaugurated a DIFC branch in Dubai in March 2026 — a product-side flag-plant aimed at sovereign institutions, family offices, private banks, wealth platforms and distribution partners across the GCC and Africa. It is the manufacturer's route into the corridor: rather than a private bank for NRIs, a fund house bringing India strategies to Gulf and African allocators from a DIFC base.
Why it matters
ICICI Prudential is the asset-management bookend of the corridor: where the private banks chase individual NRIs, a $130bn fund house is going to Dubai to reach the institutional and family-office pools that allocate to India. Its March 2026 DIFC branch — alongside Motilal Oswal's GIFT City platform and the wealth managers' Dubai offices — shows every layer of the Indian financial-services stack now converging on the same Gulf gateway.
